This is an interesting topic to me. I came here today to get opinions of my website I’ve built for the very reason that I cant stand Sound Cloud. I set up a page and even bought the Pro version just to be able to drive Music Supes and such to a place to hear my music. I was stunned to see that SC is set so that when my song ends another FROM A DIFFERENT ARTIST starts to play. This is exactly the opposite of professonal to me. Their response is that they see SC as a music community and were oblivious to the idea that sync composer would not want their page to be a springboard for someone else’s page.
Also, I didnt care about # of views at all , just getting decision makers hearing my music. For some reason SC takes it upon themselves to post comments like “it looks pretty empty here” on a song that hasnt gotten many plays. Thats just stupid to me and at least there should be an opt out.
I know SC is very popular but I cant see why for songwriters

I started with GD because I could so a 30 trial. Research favored WIX ,but there is no way to determine if there included players are able to do individual songs. If anyone knows ,please update me.

I’m currently building a site using a Godaddy template and I would ideally like a music hosting source that I can link my songs to so they will play from the GD site. GD has a music player but it seems to be setup as one player for many songs on a page. I want something to have individual links for each song. Any ideas?
I’ve had a Soundcloud account for a long while and even SC Pro the last 3 years. To me ,unless I’m sending a specific link to a known individual, SC is not acceptable. Since they’ve decided not to allow songs to play from remote sites, every click sends the listener back to SC which is not the tedium I want to subject people to.
I basically want to know what folks are using to play songs on a site.

StevieBlunderParticipantI was wondering about specific loudness. Do folks here master to the EBU R128 specs and ,if so, do you adhere to the recommended -23 LUFS level using a meter? I’ve only had a few placements in cable reality TV and they were before I even considered this guidance. My tracks were far hotter

I’ve seen pretty clear evidence that Zero G used the infamous Amen break in a few of their cd’s in their early days and it was never cleared. I wouldnt doubt that they used other samples and didnt clear them. I get the feeling that standards are different these days but I’m currently going through older songs with this in mind.
I have no idea what the ramifications of one being spotted would be however
