I stumbled upon this website looking for new sound libraries. It seems like a pretty cool handmade instrument, and not too expensive.

    Description from the site:

“When people see the strummer for the first time, they often ask, “Is that some kind of ukulele?” and I say, “No, it’s not a ukulele, it’s a strummer.” A ukelele has four strings. A strummer has three. The frets on a ukulele are laid out to play the twelve-tone scale. The strummer only plays the notes of the G scale like a dulcimer, which means you’ll be playing tunes easily with few mistakes.

The strummer can be described as a dulcimer played like a guitar, producing a rich, pleasing tone that sounds like a mixture of dulcimer, mandolin and banjo. Dulcimers are usually played on the lap. The strummer can be played while standing or sitting.

If you are interested in an alternative to the guitar, ukulele, mandolin or banjo, please consider the strummer.”

    Check it out.
