I got the SWAM version. It seems pretty intuitive to use after my first try with it

I’m still on my honeymoon with the SM Trumpet and I already cheated. I bought the saxes today ๐Ÿ™‚

I dropped in a 16 bar 5-way sax soli I was working on and it sounded great before I added any expression controllers. This should be a fun week!

Thanks for the reply MichaelL. I’m mostly interested in straight ahead big band and R&B horn stuff. I wasn’t familiar with the Sample Modeling products. Do you have them? I briefly checked them out and it looks promising and much more affordable. The demo’s I listened to were pretty wet, which concerns me.
I’ll dig into the site more later.
    Thanks again.

I had a video producer contact me through LinkedIn. He bought one of my tracks from AS and wanted me to write a similar, sound alike track as a non-ex work for hire. Done deal, it worked our well for both of us.

I may have a new favorite. I have 4 year old non-exclusive that has not made ANY money even though it has made it into Crucial among others. There are now 28 cue sheets for it in Un Nuevo Dia (a Telemundo soap opera) from 12/2014-02/2015 and they keep coming in. The total run time so far is around an hour and forty minutes.
A previous placement in that show only paid about $18 for 3 1/2 minutes, so I don’t expect a huge payout. I think it will pad my next few statements nicely though.

This one was half of my last one ๐Ÿ™
But, last quarter was my best ever, a %50 increase over my previous best, so I guess it was ok, the glass is half full for me.

I’m jumping in late here and haven’t read everything yet, but here are 2 cue sheet stories,
#1 – An exclusive track with SK gets placed in the show it was intended for, 32 seconds. The cue sheet says it was 9 seconds. I contact PRO and they say go to the library. I contact the library and they assure me they will get it fixed. After 6 months with no fix I contact library again. They say oops, we’ll get it fixed.” Show gets cancelled, I give up.

#2 – A non-ex with JP is licensed for a CMT special (non-series) theme. I even get a decent sync fee. 13 months go by with no cue sheet. I contacted library. They replied the same day with info I needed. Cue sheet appeared a week later. Now waiting on the $$. Tunesat has found about 10 airings so far.

I did a cue in 2012 that in 2 1/2 years had made me about $30 in back end for one CMT placement. I had an $850 surprise PRO payout in Nov 2014 (writer/publisher combined). All I know is the track has to date earned me $1,100 in back end from Denmark in the past 6 months. I have no idea what it used for, but it has paid radio, internet and TV back end, both writer and publisher.
Whatever it is, it’s my favorite ;~)

FWIW, I’ve been using the free account about 6 months and Tunesat misses enough that I don’t think I would pay for it.
It becomes very evident when you have several cues in one program. For me it is not uncommon to have 3 detections in an episode during one hour, then only one detection for the same episode re-airing a few hours later.

Best ever for me. Finally hit a four figure payout plus it was 50% better than my previous best payout. One track earned over $400 this time.

    I bought one from MusicContracts.com
Of course, I don’t know if it would stand up in court if needed, but I find that highly unlikely for me.

Thanks for the bad news Art ๐Ÿ˜‰ At least it was an AS buyout, so I got something
