Hi Mark, you mentioned that your programmer would be able to help people set up the software. Could you PM me and let me know the details (his cost, etc…).
Thanks,
A.angopopParticipantThanks Mark, I’ll contact HostGator support.
angopopParticipantThis is great, Mark, thank you.
I’m in the process of uploading it. In the response to Edouardo, you write “Once you have everything copied over go to the install page of our software and follow the instructions.” I don’t see an install page on your website, am I missing something?
Also, using cPanel file manager, where should I upload the software to ( there are many folders [home, public, cPanel, etc…]).
Thanks,
ALogin to cPanel.
Under Files, click File Manager.
Select Web Root and Show Hidden Files, then click Go.
Click to open the folder to which youโd like to upload files.
Click Upload from the top toolbar.
Click Browse (some web browsers will have Choose File instead).
Select the file on your computer that you wish to upload.
Once the file has been selected, it will automatically upload. You may select additional files while uploads are in progress. You should probably create a new directory for your music licensing store unless you want it to show up as your main website at root level.
Once you have everything copied over go to the install page of our software and follow the instructions.
angopopParticipantAnother note on pseudonyms: Someone who I work with recommended that I use an alias as my last name is tricky for most folks to spell and that is the last think you want when someone is filling out a cue sheet.
As long as they get the CAE number correctly, I’m not sure it matters, but I supposed that you don’t want to make things any more difficult for someone filling out a cue sheet.
Any thoughts?
angopopParticipantThanks all!
angopopParticipantI would suggest going back to your original session and correct the problem that is causing the phasing. It’s possible summing to mono may create other problems, as well as maybe changing the relationship between some elements of your mix.
angopopParticipantThe reversion clause in this agreement states that the rights revert back to me after 3 years if the library has not done at least one of these items:
– caused the track to be downloaded or digitally transmitted by a client
– used in a movie, tv show, etc…
– used in a zip file, cd, downloadable link, etc.
– provided the song file to a clientIs this good or normal? If a client merely downloads the song the day before the 3 year reversion clause takes effect, and it’s the first time any client has shown any interest, irregardless of whether they will eventually use it or not, the song will not revert to me.
Any thoughts?
Thanks,
AangopopParticipantHi Huge, I checked out his site and it looks good, thanks.
Yea, if you could send me the commercial or a link, I’d appreciate that — PM or list it here.
-A
angopopParticipantYes, I took everything down from SoundCloud — see this link:
Steve, thanks for your interest … you can check it out here, click on the Full version:

angopopParticipantI’m considering signing with an exclusive library, my first one. They sent me their contract and I’m going to go over it with a lawyer.
Has anyone requested changes in an exclusive library’s contract (reversion clause, etc…)? How did you go about it, and how did that go?
angopopParticipantIt’s good to get the positive feedback – that you guys like it. It was one of the first that I was happy with the arrangement, mix and overall sound. The constructive criticism is super helpful and I will create an alternate.
Another reason why MLR is super helpful … I’ll post another one sometime later.
Unfortunately I don’t have VST to try RoughRider compressor, any suggestions on a similar RTAS compressor? I have Waves and McDSP, using PTools…
Thanks,
-AangopopParticipantGood point. I’ve never heard an indie rock song with a backward cymbal.
I used to do some work for a music library who LOVED backwards cymbals, and wanted them on almost all of their music. I use them a lot less now, mainly on tracks that are more ‘commercial’.
Probably a good idea to create a version without it.
angopopParticipantThanks, all valid points.
I have created multiple 30s and 60s, plus a narrative version.
As far as dynamics and feeling stiff, I’ve noticed that as my mix/production skills have improved over the years, I feel the songs are lacking some’human-ness’ in the finished songs, and I’m not sure how to get there using EZ drummer and my current methods.
It’s a continuous learning process…

angopopParticipantThanks ChuckMott. Yes, I agree it is long for prod music, but I wrote it in my “early days”. Now I keep them shorter!
angopopParticipantGood advice, thanks.
