Thanks! I’m still trying to get my head around what categories exist, what they mean, and which if any that my own music fits into. If only there was a way of knowing what styles are in demand so that we could write according to market.
What styles of music are you putting on Getty?
I have a question: I too want to avoid stuff going onto YouTube content ID. On songtradr with its monetisation you can tick to be with Big Sync Music amongst other people. What’s not clear from them and many other libraries is whether your tracks will end up with content ID on YouTube. What I don’t want is people buying my tracks legitimately from elsewhere and finding they can’t use them.
Does anyone have any experience of this on Songtradr?
Can I just ask: what is meant by ‘DnB’?
I tried composer cloud for a month. Generally I don’t like subscriptions – it’s just another overhead for something you never own. But it was a good opportunity to try out lots of libraries. In the end I cancelled the sub and bought Holllywood Orchestra plus the solo instruments, which I’m very pleased with.

Have just joined MLR. I’m based in Birmingham, UK, and am new to production music, but am working hard to build up my catalogue and learn from the many wise heads on here 🙂
