Oops, wrong forum. Art, feel free to move it.
gdomeierParticipantI have recorded with my sm57, but I needed to have the mic very close to the guitar, otherwise my levels are too low.
gdomeierParticipantThanks for the comments. Here’s the latest version, which I’d say is about 98% done. I added a lead guitar track as well as some subtle rhythm guitar parts. The only thing left is likely just some mix tweaking and maybe a bit of drum tweaking.
gdomeierParticipantI was messing around a bit more and found something I like more. I thought I’d post up that version and do a kind evolution of cue development.

gdomeierParticipantThanks Bob. The base track is one I recorded the guitars live myself, but I wanted to create an edited version that was glitched up and intentionally mechanical like that. Guess that worked ๐
I plan on completing the main track in a traditional style without the glitching. Have any of you placed music in this or similar style?
The program I’m using is grossbeat.

Hopefully more music libraries will start to implement these services as a way to keep up with royalty payments. That will in turn help composers to make more PRO revenue.
gdomeierParticipantAbout time, but I won’t hold my breath…
gdomeierParticipantThanks for that.
gdomeierParticipantYes, I have cue sheets from Pawn Stars. Also, about scripps shows. I recently had one show up in ascap and got paid for it. That was placed by JP. It was The Shed on Food Network.
gdomeierParticipantThanks for all the great input. I have one on order from sweetwater. Now I just have to learn to play it! ๐
gdomeierParticipantThanks guys. What mike to you like to use?
gdomeierParticipantI’ll take rain check on the five knuckle shuffle from John ๐
gdomeierParticipantI’ve never had any luck selling cues on RF sites.
gdomeierParticipantHave you tried contacting the library and see if they can pressure them?
