It took me 1 year and 3 months from my first statement (my 6th statement) to hit 4 figures. But it was an outlier, 1 track that aired regularly across 3 months in the Netherlands that made the difference. My 8th statement went back to 3 figures. I have less than 100 tracks so I’m grateful to have made a decent sum from a low quantity.

Streaming has generally been poor except for Netflix. I’ve had 3 tracks placed and each has brought in 3 figures per quarter.

It’s probably a promo for the US show being run during commercial breaks of various shows on MTV3.

My best statement ever. Jumped 2980% from the previous quarter, partly because of the low base (2 figures), but also heavily skewed by one track which received $1,557.40 from BUMA (thanks Netherlands!), and two tracks which earned $165 from Netflix; the rest were pretty meh.

You’re welcome Pat. I once had a detection in the BBC show “Seven Worlds, One Planet”. Got me excited for a while. Then I thought: “Didn’t they get Hans Zimmer to score that show?” I listened to the audio and it was in Dutch. 😀

Hey Pat, I get the same occasionally. I think it’s a promo. So in your case, the same promo for the reality show is being aired during commercials breaks of different shows. And what Tunesat is showing are the shows that the promo appeared in. Which means your placement actually is in the commercial break for NCIS, not the show itself.

I would wait one week before submitting to other publishers. Just did a quick check of my emails and here’s what I’ve found:

The publishers I’m with all responded within three days. In fact the fastest replies came within hours: Sonic Librarian (1.5 hours), STYE (5 hours), SuperPitch (18 hours).

All of the rejections came within five days, except for one which came after eight days.

So in short, I’ve never had an acceptance or rejection email after eight days. I’ve never followed up either cos I’d presume it’s rejected if there’s no response within a week. I’d just move on to the next publisher.
