Agreed!
JanetParticipantBe careful if the library wants you to provide stems for possible licensing – e.g. if you used a drum loop and that’s your entire drum stem then that might be a violation of the sample seller’s agreement.
JanetParticipantThank you, Michael! It’s the unfairness and the indirect communication that frustrates me the most. But, no matter – I have my FB page and my website, so YouTube can go jump in a lake! 😀
JanetParticipantAs I mentioned, I filled out the appeal form, which they rejected. And they also told me not to fill out another one! Talk about arrogance! Anyway, I’ve written YouTube off and now only post videos to my FB page and my website. I was just wondering if anyone in this community had ever had this problem.
JanetParticipantHi Art,
Here’s the email that Google sent me…We’d like to inform you that due to repeated or severe violations of our Community Guidelines (https://www.youtube.com/t/community_guidelines) your YouTube account Janet B has been suspended.
After review we determined that activity in your account violated our Community Guidelines, which prohibit spam, scams or commercially deceptive content (https://support.google.com/youtube/answer/2801973?hl=en).

There was nothing in my videos that could ever be interpreted as “commercially deceptive”. I never asked viewers to do anything except visit my website.
