but in Art’s case in a 50/50 writers deal he would of got $1250 rather than $2500 which is still pretty good. the deal is not to give 100% writers its 50%.

i think for me if the consideration fee was $500 per track i would consider giving away 50% of writers. no way for $125.

that’s a great question and also a difficult one. for me i think 1 year to 2 years is enough to know if a library is gonna work for you. but there are other important factors you need to consider such as do you have a good relationship with the library, do they respond to your emails or calls. is your music a good fit for that library? are they curating the music they accept and not just interested in getting a huge catalogue? do they actually get placements?

i’m still fingering this all out but one thing that is definitely true that was told to me early on is that this is a slooooowwww game.

is it just BTN placements that suffer from this ASCAP surveying issue?

what would be the reason for your percentage being so low mike? how many tracks would you have uploaded to tunesat, are you using the paid service or just the free 50 tracks per month account?

hi guys what percentage of your PRO placements do you find tunesat will pick up in a quarter? is it picking up 100% of all your placements, 10% or what is it? i’m just wondering is what you’re seeing on tunesat gonna be a like for like representation of what you will see on your PRO a few quarters later?
