Me too, when I have a budget. I recently ran across a great horn section that was playing in a funk/New Orleans band up here. All L.A. players, they gave me a great price and cover all the brass and reeds. In the back of my mind to do a funk/New Orleans album.
I’d definitely prefer the sound BBB to NI’s Session Horns,
Agreed, I have session horn and it takes a lot of work to make them passable. Still, I got them by a library that’s very fussy with horns.

@ Art, yes I have Broadway Lites. Great samples at a fraction of the cost of the full Broadway Big Band Library. very much geared, as it suggests to that “show tune” kind of sound.
From what I heard you can get more than just a “show tune” sound. I liked the funky/jazzy pieces they demoed.
So much software to contemplate!
Okay, this thread has turned into software recommendations so I’m changing the title and moving to the Software forum.
BTW thinking of getting Broadway Lites (funk horns) http://www.fablesounds.com/. Demo sounds pretty good. Anyone using?
And let’s not forget importing a CSV spreadsheet of metadata.
Yeah, the software broke and they never updated. I need to find a new solution.

@MichaelL. I may have jumped on an unintended bandwagon but it was sure to go there. 🙂Personally I think it’s all “much ado about nothing” but there are many others who will violently disagree with me. 😉
I just might have to out sell all you guys starting now for .99 cents a track! and if you want in on my business music library model scheme, just know that I am taking 97% commissions (so you’ll get .024 cents a sale) from my library biz model. This will push everyone back into the ground while we go to war. Watch out! Here I come!
