thanks woodsdenis
boinkeee2000ParticipantThanks Art, glad to contribute to the cause…your service and sincerety of it all is priceless
boinkeee2000Participantthanks chuck, ive recorded both ways but a miked nylon string guitar sounds 10x better 🙂
boinkeee2000ParticipantThanks Kubed, this game is full of doubts and second guesses thus these tiny wins help keep my sanity in check. good thing i miked it since i was contemplating on just recording thru my classicals internal pickup due to laziness…
November 30, 2017 at 10:41 pm in reply to: Gibson announced it is ceasing Cakewalk development. #28942boinkeee2000Participantspoke to a friend of mine whos at upper mgmt for presonus, studio one will have a very competitive crossgrade deal coming out for sonar users. I asked him about workflow and he said S1 has a shallower learning curve than the other DAWs…also asked him if its possible to open cakewalk projects directly in S1 and he said he itll be a major undertaking but will forward it for consideration….will see what happens
November 30, 2017 at 12:15 am in reply to: Gibson announced it is ceasing Cakewalk development. #28936boinkeee2000Participanti got the lifetime deal with them and a they did mention a dedicated team is supposed to keep it afloat for a few years or more…i wouldnt be surprised if the program/code will be sold to microsoft due to the talks, so we should still see a reincarnation of (hopefully) the same SONAR workflow on a DAW in the future….in the meantime, im dreading the time consuming task of bouncing all my midi tracks to audio (sigh)
boinkeee2000ParticipantI would assume that any new composers that have no basic knowledge of music theory or fundamental keyboard skills would just end up buying loops and samples and cut/paste a song together without the need for a keyboard or pad controller. or better yet have a pianist buddy help out…
not sure how the chord trigger works, but I tried using an acoustic strummer vsti back then to help speed up my workflow, yet still ended up recording live to be contented…thats just me though, dont hurt to give your idea a go for potential extra income
boinkeee2000Participanttheres this one lib i dont think is RF that has a micro licensing subscription opt-in (which i recently tunred off on my settings)…he maybe talking about that (ST)
boinkeee2000Participantthanks for your input folks. since you guys have been around the block, can you tell right away what type of music they mostly cater to just from looking at their TV show placement activity? i mean like, love and hiphop is pretty obvious, but like keeping up with the kards seems all over the place…
boinkeee2000Participantcongratz abby! heres to more placements….how long have you been at this?
boinkeee2000Participantimo my sonics improved drastically ever since I got a 500 series front end going into my apollo quad, which wasnt bad, its just too sterile….my next goal is getting a summing box like dangerous 2bus and I should be happy (maybe)
we are on the opposite spectrum chuck since im moving towards my amp sims more and micing less..the uad marshall and fender plugins sealed the move, although i was already contented with the scuffham and bias sims also…
have fun shopping…
boinkeee2000Participantgreat info, thanks art…i see this was from 2011, you think it still holds true today?
boinkeee2000ParticipantI love the riff on the AI track..kinda reminds me of Axel F. was yearning for it to go somewhere and take me on a journey 🙂
boinkeee2000Participanthi lawriter, can you give me brief history lesson on what this “old vs new” paradigm is about? sounds important 🙂
boinkeee2000ParticipantHi, such an inspirational thread. I hope Alan or any of the other folks here could do an update til now (2017) if thats ok. your journeys are so helpful, entertaining and a pleasure to read since no two journeys are alike…thanks in advance
