Hey Glenn here’s some of what I’ve experienced in this situation….I used some of Roniit’s vocals…and unless you see this warning…like I see with my sample library ….”PLEASE READ DISCLAIMER: With this sample pack, you may use all of the vocals royalty-free to release commercially. You may not however use the Roniit name or likeness with your releases (example, “featuring Roniit”). Such misuse of these samples will incite takedown requests”……if you have no such disclaimer I would steer clear of a potentially bad situation ….hope that helps…. 🙂

I don’t remember you saying that Advice?…….but my eyes aren’t what they used to be….anyhow I’m getting an education here in this thread so I’m happy in that regard…besides we all have different opinions…for now until I get a butt load of more tracks I’m staying NE and RF…for the time being

Well if the music library model holds true it still can’t squash artist’s making music that’s what we were born to do and we’ll find an outlet I’ve noticed some of these sites want crazy money for a track IMHO… maybe the Napster phenomenon will strike again with a new face on the business model.to shuffle the deck …who knows…….I think one way or another most of us will need to evolve with the industry…whatever that turns out to be…lets see what tomorrow brings…..and you right some of us are late to the game…I wanted to do this years ago but just couldn’t figure out how to…my loss I guess….back in the mid 2000’s google was just beginning to be my friend..hopefully there will always be a POND5 out there somewhere….lol

The one thing I like about Pond5 is they give me leeway to try different ideas with my tracks…. Right now they seem to be on a Lo-Fi kick…so hey I’ll try it…I might want to comment on them being to low tier. some people on MLR have gotten tracks on Pond5 in commercials and on netflicks and such…I’ve heard some good stuff on Pond5..better so then some of the exclusive stuff I’ve listen to.it seems either some libraries are to picky or I would really need to know what they need..but that is just my opinion…

    Hi unchained music

I’m going to respond to the SoundCloud issue…I did the SoundCloud thing for awhile but…..you really need to watermark your tracks if you going that route…IMHO..also my tracks just sounded to compressed on that site…I have no idea what algorithms these kind of platforms use which is another factor….then one day the thought occurred to me hey…I’m going to be doing this producer thing until as long as I can so I decided to do a professional looking site to host my works..I ended up using WIx and got my own domain…here is my site if you want to see how it looks and works as an idea….I hope this helps you out ….plus your songs could be watermarked on here but I believe they are safer on this kind of platform….https://www.davidrdingermusic.com

Ok Soundcloud didn’t work on my Ipad imagine that…………….great tracks Ben …….very good mix solid volume…a few suggestions….watch the compression ….couple of these sounded squashed Ozone has a tendency to do that I noticed … I’m not sure if that is the plugin your using just guessing….believe me i’m dealing with that monster also…also give me some transition from the different parts of the track like “Beyond the Hills” from the electric guitar to the acoustic I felt wanting a transition there I.e. risers, whitenoise. reverse cymbals and such….from what I understand film and tv libraries love transitions that is if you are going for these types of libraries……”In your mind” the vocals I feel are just to in your face to dry and not setting in the mix…Need a plate reverb maybe to fatten them up I use 4 separate track on my vocals ..slightly detuning each one to fatten the vocals….I use WAVES plugin called Doubler…works great on vocals I could also hear vocal harmonies on that track but that’s my music mind at work……and yes short intros are a must music supervisors give you maybe 4 seconds of their time or your toast you have to hit between the eyes right out the gate so I’m told….remember these are just my suggestions……. feedback always makes us better producers of our tracks .The tendency to be a producer God in our own studio’s is very real lol ….peace out
