and then we have the Led Zeppelin case did they rip off Spirit’s 1967 song Taurus?..……..just wondering….. if Infringement has been found in as few as three notes!……..How did Led Zeppelen beat this… where is the line drawn on infringement it seems to be a shady area to me unless you can afford a very very good attoney to bail you out if you cross that line probably wise not to even chance your song sounding like another one .but are there not only 12 notes per octave in the western scale so are we all guilty?
cyberk91ParticipantArt…LAwriter…..thanks for saying what I was thinking…lol….there’s no doubt about it..If I was a lot younger I probably wouldn’t be able to write in a lot of the genres of music there are today with any kind of passion or experience without having been exposed to a lot of different music over the decades…I’ll go out on a limb and ask…could blockchain actually be a good technology? IMHO instead of the Jurassic system we got in place now with PRO’s….I mean I hear the horror stories about cue sheets not filed and such….how much money have artist’s lost by the PRO’s unaccountability…..am I off base?
here’s a link I thought was informative……http://www.wired.co.uk/article/blockchain-disrupting-music-mycelia
cyberk91ParticipantHey Glen I just thought on the cinematic track the open synth….reminded me of an 80s style synth….or maybe I’m wrong..with massive or Ominisphere you could blow me away at the beginning…if you take these to an exclusive your gonna need to wow them right out the gate…rise and hit cineMagic effects at the get go ..you could keep those synths and possibly layer them…make it wider and bigger…please understand these are just my observations…but these are good tracks just trying to help you make them bigger…peace out
cyberk91ParticipantHey Glen these tracks were soundcloud for a moment you must have changed your mind.. Your tracks seem to be well thought out and are arranged well…on the other hand some of your samples seem dated to me …also when I do transitions I use risers, whitenoise, stutters or such to give warning …here comes the change …When I do cinematic stuff I gravitate to Damage by native instruments it has great transistors for cinematic stuff..but this is all personal choice….on the second tracks your synth not sure if it was midi or not seemed way to bright…I hope this helps…keep up the good work!
cyberk91ParticipantThanks Beatslinger…yeah this site is chalk full of knowledge …I’ve yet to scratch the surface…..
cyberk91ParticipantThanks
Denbo 17…..yes it looks like the rabbit hole is wide and deep…. I’ll be down here awhile…
cyberk91ParticipantThanks for the feedback Careymoore615…..I personally very rarely use midi ….it takes some doing to not make it sound steile IMHO…I like samples they are easier to manipulate and mix for me..but that’s just me…thanks for the kind words btw the drums are 3 separate tracks and are not midi…I was going for a more laid back approach but possibly I didn’t pull that off…
