    Kind of wondering about both. I’ve only had cues used on cable sports channels like CBS Sports Network. Wasn’t extremely pleased with the backend.

    I’m with BMI and just had a UK library suggest I also join PRS so they can do the same thing….

    In addition to cues housekeeping chores, I pretty much have made it a goal to compose 1-3 new tracks per week. Depends on the complexity of what they are. A cute dramedy track takes far less time than a full on orchestral piece.

    I’ve been on Spotify since 2012 and now have a dozen albums there. Grand total earnings? A whopping $100!!

    I post on Facebook every now and then but that’s about it. I’ve heard the key to success on Spotify is to get a track on one of their popular playlists with huge a following. How that happens… who knows.

    I’ve had tracks placed by Audiosparx on a couple dozen albums on Amazon, Spotify, iTunes, Napster, etc. The revenue trickles in little by little. I’m seeing streaming income slowly going up, penny by penny… while downloads are now going down. Still can’t quit my “day” job!

    I once belonged but quit when a few libraries complained. That seems to have changed now. Anyone know which RF libraries do not allow Adrev?

    Can TuneSat’s TV monitoring service provide historical detection data?

    Yes. TuneSat’s TV monitoring service can identify performances on certain stations for up to the last 3 years. Please contact info@tunesat.com for fee’s and more information regarding adding historical data to your account.

    BTW, I asked Tunesat this question. Their response below. Too bad. I was hoping it meant we could then have a total of 100 tracks. I’ve only gone over my 50 detections/month once.

    I currently have the free 50 tracks account. If I upgrade to the 50 track-$35/month US plan does that mean I can upload 100 tracks total?

    ====================================================================

    If you upgrade your account to the 50 track plan, you will still only be able to monitor 50 tracks total. The upgrade will offer you the ability to see all detection you receive per month without the 50 detection per month limit.

    Yes, from that point on… I think they had an option that allowed earlier detections to be brought in… at a cost.

    Not sure how long it takes for them to start detecting but you won’t see a wave form and it automatically detects real-time. Although, I have found it to not be 100% accurate, often missing detections that I know happened.

    Isn’t there a promo code somewhere to get a discount with Tunesat?

    Oh yeah, I know all about fraction of pennies per stream. I have music on Spotify and Pandora that remind of that all the time! This guy is very low level so I made an offer and we’ll see if he bites.

    Nutshell… started off in RF libraries. Still belong to a few but slowly saw that revenue decrease so knocked on library doors, got into a few, worked more on cues for TV, started getting placements and have watched my PRO statement slowly grow.

    Welcome! There are many here just like you. I started doing this about 3 years ago. I’m not full-time yet, but it’s slowly ramping up. Persistence and getting better is the key!
