Bad idea
I had a recent placement on Showtime – “Circus: Inside The Greatest Political Show On Earth.” I actually watched this series when it came out, but had no idea my cue was on one of the episodes. A happy surprise. This Is my current favorite placement.
100% agree with woodendenis on that point. I’ve had thousands of airings of my cues – broadcast and cable – most engineered ITB. It’s not the tools, it’s the artist.
Several of my buddies had played in his band over the years; a huge inspiration, and amazing guitarist.

I’m getting hundreds of promo plays on various stations (TBS, Logo, etc..) In fact, my Tunesat account is WAY past maxed out because of these promos. One library is accounting for all these placements. Anyone here getting any good backend on these? Has your ASCAP(BMI) “survey” done you any justice?
Success! I have some material on the Nat Geo show “Brain Games.” Tunesat picked up one of my surf rock cues being played on the show – about a year ago. I never got a cue sheet for this. After filing a complaint with ASCAP, they got back to me, and I put them in touch with a contact at the library which placed it. Lo and behold, the next day the updated cue sheet showed up in my ASCAP account. Thank you Tunesat!
Opening this back up. What are favorite DAWs for use on the iPad? Anything cool and new? Need to be writing some cues while on tour the next couple weeks.
I had less than 10 cues published at that point
I think my first Ascap statement was in the neighborhood of $2. Several exclusive cues written by that point.
@Michael Nickolas I am digging this approach. I’m getting pretty good mono compatibility
as well, as long as I’m not dealing with a million tracks.
