KubedParticipant
I’m receiving BMI royalties for the past 7+ years and this was the best Q so far!!! Didn’t expect it considering the whole covid situation. Like Art said, Facebook and Netflix payments were surprisingly good this quarter. Some good payments from Netherland, Denmark and Australia too.
KubedParticipantSlightly better than the previous one. International royalties look pretty good.
KubedParticipant@Jonathan: you can change your payment preference from check to wire transfer btw. This will save you quite a few bucks and you’ll be receiving your payments to your bank account the same day statements are issued.
My bank for example, was charging me about $30 to clear a check but since i switched to wire transfer, they only charge me $4/per payment.KubedParticipant@Jonathan: there’s a $250 threshold for non US citizens who receive their payment by mail (check).
KubedParticipant25% up from the previous one.
KubedParticipantHappy to hear someone’s quarter was up MichaelL 🙂
KubedParticipantDown about 35% from the previous one. I was expecting even worse, Tunesat activity for that quarter was dismal.

KubedParticipant@ jonarranger: In order to get a Numerator account, hit the ‘Request A Demo’ button on the upper right side of their page. You’ll submit an email address of yours and they’ll contact you after a few days or so. You’ll tell them you’re a music composer and need a Numerator account in order to search for ad codes and submit them to your PRO. They’ll CC your email then to the person who takes care of the Numerator music users. That person will ask for some more contact info from you (basic stuff like email, phone# etc) and they’ll set up an account for you after 1-2 days.
At least this is how i got an account there earlier on this year. Hope it helped!KubedParticipantThank you Art!
KubedParticipantBravo! Fantastic news Art. Happy to hear BMI did their best to sort it out.
KubedParticipantA good statement overall, nice payments from FOX Sports, NBC and VH1. The September NCTA payment is a nice bonus, as always.
NCTA is explained here: https://www.bmi.com/news/entry/20000725_new_bmi_ncta_agreement_to_yield_significantly_increased_fees
KubedParticipantWhat about different time zones?
July 17, 2020 at 7:38 pm in reply to: What Happens if Member of ASCAP but a Publisher Is SESAC? #35429KubedParticipantIf i’m not wrong, the US publishers/libraries have accounts in all 3 US PROs (BMI, ASCAP, SESAC) so, they’ll register your tracks to your PRO. At least that’s what i can tell from the libraries i work with.
KubedParticipantI think maxpower answered that already. Usually you keep 100% of writer’s share and 50% of sync fees. And some of the big libraries might offer you some upfront fees too. But not all libraries have the same contract terms. Ask the library to send you a copy of their agreement.
