    Hello All,

Longtime listener – first time caller.

Recently I’ve been writing tension and tasking cues for a TV production company that does mostly reality-type shows. For the most part of I’ve been creating the percussion loops from scratch using various drums samplers and live percussion, but have been losing steam on my process. Does anyone have any favorite methods or software for creating those short, clicky-type percussion loops (think crime scene drama beds, stressful cooking shows or stranded on an island)? I can definitely dig up some examples if that would help.

    Many Thanks!

LOL! I like your opening line! 🙂 Welcome QB Fox

I use a few samplers for reality TV and usually use these:

Check-out the track “I Can Hear You”

Check-out Evolve and some of their other offerings
    https://www.heavyocity.com/products/

    and Rob Papen “Punch”

    Hope that’s helpful

    Paolo,

Thank you so much for the response! I have been looking at some of the Heavyocity libraries but didn’t notice Evolve. That is exactly what I was looking for. I saw Damage, but to be honest, it seems a bit too heavy for me. Like it’s geared more toward trailer music than subtle percussion beds.

    Cheers,
