Anyone had dealings with this company? I got an email shot from them the other day.I went with AdRev but not sure I made the right choice. The income is laughable with AdRev. Some say Identifyy pays more.

December 25, 2020 at 6:23 am in reply to: Help please with this doubt in my contract about digital distribution. #37121Art MunsonKeymasterIf I can release my album in platforms like CD Baby, what kind of opt in options should I decline?
It seems obvious to me as their contract is clear. You can not let any entity, outside of the exclusive library you are signed to, offer to license your music. If unclear what those options are with CD Baby I would contact them directly.
Art MunsonKeymasterMy question is, do you think the name you choose as a library music composer is important.
I’m specifically referring to music on non exclusive basis with the likes of Pond5 etc.Maybe, if you wanted a different name for sites selling at a very low price (subscription sites). But, I avoid those sites.
Art MunsonKeymasterThis is a good thing. You might want to read this in case you missed it.
Art MunsonKeymasterMaybe Art can weigh in on this as he’s good at this stuff …
I think you covered it Pat. That’s what I would do.

Art MunsonKeymasterThanks for the kind words Raman777. As I’ve often said, I learn as much as anybody from this site. So much great information from so many talented composers!
Art MunsonKeymasterBump
Sidney is an old friend of mine and I suggested he post here. I know there are a lot of Mac folks on MLR so hopefully someone can help him out.

Art MunsonKeymasterAnybody know, does Tunesat track YouTube, or postings on library sites? Or both?
Yes on YouTube and Facebook. It does pick up Audio Jungle. I don’t see it picking up any others though.
Art MunsonKeymasterHow do you get into Numerator’s tracking?
Much harder now. I think there is a contact link.
They track commercials. They are only useful if you know you have a commercial running and want to find the ad code to submit to your PRO.
Art MunsonKeymasterDo libraries have the ability to detect if your exclusive is listed in another library under a different title?
They could detect use with an account like Tunesat but that wouldn’t detect a title. The only other way I can think of is to maybe search a PRO database for alt titles. Not sure that would even work.
Art MunsonKeymasterIs it common for an “owner of rights agreement” contract length to be perpetual? Is there ever a clause for both parties to leave if they are not happy?
Not necessarily. There are libraries that have reversion clauses.
