ChuckMottParticipant
Would it be a stretch to ask what we consider to be, say, a top 10 list of industry leading royalty free libraries in peoples opinion here? Beyond a few I can think of it seems to be up for grabs….if we were going to be putting your music in say, 10, what would they be? Or is that too much…..maybe, like stocks, we can look at them as best performing (i.e.sales, upload process as stated, other criteria I haven’t thought of?).

ChuckMottParticipantHappy Holidays All!
ChuckMottParticipantJust wanted to say to Denis Woods, listened to a lot of your stuff both in libraries and on soundcloud, amazing….
ChuckMottParticipantThat’s a good plam, Wildman, thanks for your input. I m in four right now that I like, to who send briefs, others are royalty free, others I have sent to but have put them n the back burner. One currently seems to have a larger catalog of shows they provide music to on an ongoing basis. It’s one I’m new to but I think I will prioritize that one. Write for briefs for the other (they only want what the sound out briefs for now anyway).
ChuckMottParticipantIs there a thread anywhere else here for ear recommendations. Specifically right now, looking for a good realistic mandolin VI.
Never mind saw Shaun recommending this thread further up.
ChuckMottParticipantDon’t yet do orchestral but am betting you are going to see a lot of love for LA Scoring Strings and Hollywood Strings.
Drums for orchestral? Don’t know that either but for pop and rock, etc, I’m a big fan of Addictive Drums and all the libraries. Also Stylus RMX. But I own these so…… And yes Mark’s stuff is REALLY good.
ChuckMottParticipantThank you…..
ChuckMottParticipantRule of thumb that I read reading Mike Senior that has stuck with me and to my ears seems to consistently ring true, usually if something is tome corrected and sounds stiff or mechanical it has more to do with the feel and how it was played. Goes on to say he has not heard a track played well with good taste and feel that didn’t benefit from timing corrections.
ChuckMottParticipantWas considering picking this up when ready to make the plunge. I don’t have a lot of tracks inn libraries yet, though, and these types of tracks are time consuming, so focusing on getting maybe 150 – 200 tracks in first.

Most give you the option to take down the tracks if you want to make changes then repost. People have run into issues with putting tracks on YT due to YT using an ID that tags the track as theirs which creates problems when you share it with other libraries. But I am not normally selling to the mass market, so I don’t feel the need to promote tracks on YT.

ChuckMottParticipantMy backup is two additional hard drives. Serious question, but why pay for online backup rather then do this?
