Guess I’m not having a good week :^)

    Hi all,
I know Tunesat was behind on European detections for a while, but I feel it has gone very quiet this week. Is anybody else getting zero detections this week?

    Hi all,

Now that DIY has become the Magnolia network and is a part of Discovery + (which charges a subscription), do we think we might get some backend here? I have a number of new tracks popping up on new shows on this network. Thoughts?

Good news Art! I have a track currently running on Love it or List it! Waiting for the cue sheet.

No, I haven’t. Has anyone received payouts from UNIVISION?

    Hi all,
I wasn’t sure where to put this comment Art, but I had about 30 cue sheets disappear out of my ASCAP account today. Has anyone experienced this?

    Hi all,
Just got a hand full of placements on UNIVISION. This may have been addressed already but does this payout a little better than cable? I see on my ASCAP statement that (like CBS, NBC, and ABC) it has its own column. Any thoughts would be appreciated.

    Hey LAwriter,

Thanks for your input. I am approaching 200 tracks (not including alts, stems and edits). I’ve heard the 1k goal before. Just wondering….is that 1k original tracks (not including alts, stems and edits)? Thanks…

    Hi all,

Just curious if anyone has received any income from SE or HFA yet? It seems like an enormous undertaking that pulls away from music making?

Reading through this thread was although very informative, it was also exhausting :0)

Hi – just adding on to this….

I have a teaser trailer running on ShowTime right now that tunesat is detecting. It’s run about 6 times in the last day or so. A track of mine is being used on a trailer for the new show Guerilla airing this week.

Should I expect any royalties from this? I guess I’m asking the same question over again…

Anybody have this kind of thing with ShowTime??

Just came across this post. I joined Soundreef in the fall of 2013 (I’m a beatpick member) and have seen a steady increase in revenue since then. I have a lot of songs (with vocals) from previous bands and songs I have done in my studio. Production music isn’t really what’s successful here. They want contemporary sounding songs they can stream in stores across Europe. My biannual payouts since joining have been 40 euros, 350 euros, 900 euros, 1200 euros. If the trend continues I’ll be rich right? My guess is this will cool off, but this has been a far better return on time investment than MANY libraries I have dealt with.

Start with the free option (50 tracks). I have three different emails accounts so that’s 50 x 3 tracks being monitored. They are fine with you doing that. When you pay you just get deeper metrics. I’ve only been with them 9 months. Not sure yet if ASCAP is missing things tunesat detects, but ASCAP has paid me for things tunesat hasn’t detected.

Same thing happened to me, but they are back.

Don’t forget you generally are only receiving the writer share no matter who has pitched your track. Tunesat just recognizes the track. The title is irrelevant. It’s the library’s job to get their publisher share, not yours.
