That is pitiful!
Art MunsonKeymaster“is there an industry standard length for stingers or bumps?”
Not that I know of. I just take the the last music piece of a track. Usually it’s no more of a few bars. From that someone could use it as a bumper or the last beat as a stinger. Just my way and been doing it this way for years.

Art MunsonKeymaster“I have always rendered from beat 1 on everything and never had any problems or difficulties.”
I hear it in the attack on the downbeat. If I render on beat 1 there is a bit of attack missing. Wouldn’t make or break the track. Just a thing for me.
Art MunsonKeymasterI set my start time at 1/128 of a beat before beat 1.
Art MunsonKeymaster@PAMMusic. I don’t remember ever building track on a loop (not sure what your definition of a loop is). I usually start with a typical 8 bar A section. Maybe a B section depending if it enhances the A and build from there. If I need inspiration I go out and listen to some music. In terms of production ideas there is a lot to be learned in today’s music. Lately I have been listening to the hits of 2021.
Art MunsonKeymaster@maxpower Congrats to you and well done! There is always money to be made in music. The rules may change, the business may change but if one is nimble enough success can be achieved. You have proven that!
January 5, 2022 at 8:48 am in reply to: Questions about what to expect when submitting to new libraries? #39327Art MunsonKeymasterI think @composer covered it pretty well. There is “no one size” fits all as each library will have their own requirements and procedures. Best to start a dialog with any library you might be interested in. They would be the best source to answer specific questions. And finally, as has been stated many times her before, “It’s a marathon not a sprint”.
Best of luck to you on your journey!
Art MunsonKeymasterGreat topic!
Art MunsonKeymasterFrom my point of view, as someone that’s been in the music making business for decades, I want to know/learn as much as I can. Whether it’s composing, playing, engineering or mixing. In this day and age there are a lot of tools available that make it much easier, including a lot of free info and YouTube videos. For software I use Ozone 9 but there are many other ways to get there.
As for mixing: I will hire someone on special projects but it’s very rare. Frankly I enjoy doing as much as possible myself.
Art MunsonKeymasterCongrats to you boinkeee2000. Wishing you the best for 2022 and beyond!
