AllanGiorgioParticipant
I guess Soundcloud is fine. As long as it’s an easy to use platform where they can listen online, most platforms will work. On the other hand, Artlist is actually a library. I wouldn’t send a submission that has a link from a competitor, that’s bad taste imo.
AllanGiorgioParticipantOh I see, so they group all the catalogs they have deals with in “the servers”. To be in “the servers” you have to get into a library that has deals with such networks in the first place
AllanGiorgioParticipantHi dachtyl, could you elaborate on what “The Servers” are? Is there such a thing? I thought cable networks and agencies had access to whatever library they had a deal with.
AllanGiorgioParticipantThanks for your reply!! what kind of music do you make in general? cinematic / trailer music? instrumental pop, urban or rock tracks? songs with vocals?
AllanGiorgioParticipantShotgun as many non-ex libraries you can with a large and diverse music catalog
AllanGiorgioParticipantWHAT?
AllanGiorgioParticipantUnless you are writing for a brief, there is room for everything. If you would like specific genres in demand for the RF market, I could say Hip Hop beats with uplifting and energetic vibes, or any sort of electronic music with a modern sound. Also Indie Rock, like the stomp clap stuff, or epic orchestral tracks. I see that energetic and happy music is sold more than dramatic or sad music (in the RF world).
The best thing you can do to see what genres are in demand is watching ads or tv shows and listening to best selling tracks on libraries.
AllanGiorgioParticipantWatch to ads or tv shows and compose tracks that sound similar

Good, bad, indifferent? #33289AllanGiorgioParticipantI’m a non US BMI composer and I use the US bank account Payoneer provides. You can set that up as direct deposit. Works great. Payment came the same day as the statement.

AllanGiorgioParticipantHi
When I started, I used to work as a hard as I could to upload everywhere. It’s the only way you can know which one is working for you.
Now I’m uploading only to the ones where I make sales, which is 4 or 5.
April 12, 2019 at 4:49 pm in reply to: Tunesat detection for short UK advert – Found a Youtube video #32077AllanGiorgioParticipantI’ve already sent the info with the ad code.
Honestly I couldn’t have figured this out without your help. Big thanks!
April 12, 2019 at 2:49 pm in reply to: Tunesat detection for short UK advert – Found a Youtube video #32073AllanGiorgioParticipantI finally got into numerator. Tunesat detections are 20 now, different cable channels (MTV UK, Channel 5, Comedy Central UK, etc), but numerator search results are only 1 on MTV.
Question: is the “ad code” what I need to send to BMI in case I don’t see any statements in the future?
AllanGiorgioParticipantYou welcome!
AllanGiorgioParticipantDon’t say no, just have another set of tracks in case the previous ones are taken. Explain that to them and send the new tracks. You have to keep moving as said before.
