Thanks for the good news 🙂 .

Maybe I should throw the contact in the garbage.

Yeah. I think my music streams get 1/34 of a cent per hit.

A Lib I work with that requires multiple cuts for a track, states that even a reverb tail can end at exactly 30.

Ohh. Just read Art’s post. Basically the same info.

BTW guys I have been told that Sound Forge is an excellent program to help with cuts due to being able to highlight Wav sections and estimate timing. Sort of thinking ahead.

Maybe if I get a decent BMI check I will check it out 🙂

This was the year of Exclusives.

Nice Tunesat detections for the Rio Olympics, NFL and NBC Versus shows.

A few P5 sales but don’t no if they were placed anywhere. Still awaiting my BMI statement.

I live in New York. It is so hard to live here, I could probably score the next Batman film and not pay off my property taxes 🙂

Tunesat is awesome but don’t rely on it to pick up every placement.

Taikos, Taikos, and more Taikos. It seems that every movie trailer is pounding with Taiko drums and very little melodic content these days.

    Thanks for the link Woods.

There seems to be different opinions. Some say the updates themselves crash the Libraries and some say an update is needed. The directions in the link seem easy enough.

    Mark,

I believe it has been updated within the year.

Oddly enough, no other saved Sonar project got ruined thank God.

IMO Tunesat picks up about 50-70 percent of placements.

    Chuck,

I have been with Composer Cloud for over 6 months. I was never aware of a yearly contract. I just pay monthly. EW even claims you can suspend your membership and come back any time.

Now, the down side. I am not a huge fan of EW sounds. If I need some obscure Panflute or Gypsy percussion it’s fine but nothing beats Project Sam and Heavyocity IMO.

    Same here Chuck.

More placement with a few good exclusives then with a multitude of Non-Ex tracks in large, run of the mill Libs.

I agree with Mojorising in the respect that we have to send an Exclusive lib an “Audition” to be accepted to download tracks or get briefs.

That being said, if I browse a Lib website and they show no signifigant placements and no networks to brag about, I just auditioned them and move on.

    Advice,

I have some placements in the Mecum auctions but nothing on the BMI statement.

Also, my track is on a one minute Youtube teaser for an auction.

No word on this as well. Perhaps a little early.

    Chuck,

I agree. I was never a huge fan of ALL the EW stuff. There are some mediocre sounds and some stellar sounds. Depends on which library. I think of it as a useful utility. If I need a Pan flute in a hurry, I can find it on Composer Cloud.

IMO, higher end VST’s outperform EW all of the time, especially on strings, ensembles, etc.

Now back to reality. I can not afford a $600.00 library for every single type of instrument. If I use EW samples and use the right type a reverb, compression, etc,, I can get some convincing sounds.

    Kubed,,

I doubt it. I’m thinking you have to be on line to at least download samples and verify license.

    Perhaps you can disconnect after.
