Does Germany Pay for TV Commercials?

Does anyone know if GEMA (German PRO) pays out for music used in TV commercials?

I have heard for example that Canada and Italy don’t, but obviously the US and UK do pay out.

Does anyone know if Germany pays for these usages? I have music on a commercial airing there at the moment.

yep germany does, can pay quite nicely too depending on the channels and airings.

Yes. GEMA pays for commercials.

Would someone be kind enough to tell me how long from gema to prs takes. I had a placement in December 2020 and still no royalties.
