I’ve been writing and producing music for quite some time now. I have a small handful of both vocal and instrumental tracks that I’ve released as an artist but I’m very interested in getting started with music licensing.  I’ve been reading a lot of the posts and I can’t decide which angle to go with it.

I guess what I’m trying to say is that I’m a tweak head that likes to take my time on everything I do and I’m worried about my reputation. A lot of my instrumental music has a sound similar to James Horner where as my vocal tracks have more of a top 40 Adult Complementary feel. Does anyone have any thoughts of the type of libraries I should be looking  into?

Also,  I’ve thought of trying to hurry and produce some semi-lower quality music under a different name just to get started but I’m not sure if that’s the best approach or not either. Any insight would be great!

Spend time reading the posts in the thread above as well as the libray specific sections in the paid forum.
