Thanks Afilion, good to know, I will check it out.
Art MunsonKeymasterAds are usually placed 3 quarters later IIRC. Don’t ever recall getting promo on anything but CBS, NBC or ABC. Had lots of promos on the smaller networks but don’t recall any payments from them. YMMV.
Art MunsonKeymasterDon’t know about SESAC but my experience with BMI is that promos are only paid by the major networks. All networks are supposed to report them but do not. BTW, AFAIK, Numerator only reports commercials, not promos.
Art MunsonKeymasterI had read that article also. So many ways to rip of artists and no end to the scams. Sigh…

Art MunsonKeymasterGood point Mark, I missed that. Very unfair deal.
Art MunsonKeymasterAre the deals with those two companies exclusive? IF so, you could but you could not place the same music/artists with both companies. If non-exclusive you could.
Art MunsonKeymasterSongpluggers, do they still exist? Back in the day I worked with a songplugger in L.A. and Nashville. My impression was that they were more interested in the income they could generate from their songwriter clients. Not to say it’s a bad idea but I would be careful and go into it with your eyes wide open.
Art MunsonKeymasterYou can download a spreadsheet (csv file), by month, that will detail the earnings per track. It would be up to you to calculate and distribute the splits.
Art MunsonKeymasterBumpy, bump.
Art MunsonKeymasterIdentifyy has detected nearly 900 videos, so far, with our music and no problems here. Much tougher now to monetize videos on YouTube as it’s a high bar of followers and monthly views to qualify. More likely you will have your music in videos that are not, or will never be, monetized.

You could start by having your music in multiple libraries not just one.
