@B Minus: “but what’s in place for the site if something happens to you Art? Also, sorry to be so morbid!”
LOL! That did make me laugh as I was just sitting here complaining about aches and pains to Robin! Actually I have thought about that and have one particular person in mind that I’ve already spoken with. In any event I’m planning for at least another 30 years on this planet!
Art MunsonKeymasterThanks Glen but haven’t seen an e-mail yet. Try music[at]munsonLLC[dot]com
Replace the bracketed text with the real characters.
Thanks again!
Art MunsonKeymaster@soph: What Mark Lewis said.
I don’t know about you but I find it frustrating to go on to open forums and find information scattered all over the place. Threads get hi-jacked quickly (hey, I just did that myself!) and they usually deteriorate. I asked the original poster (Glen) to e-mail me the library in question so we could post his concerns in that library’s listing. Still waiting to hear from Glen.
Hope you can understand and appreciate what we are trying to do here.
Thanks
Art
Art MunsonKeymaster@playagibson. Nice!
Still wish I had my SG from the 60s. I have a 52 Les Paul inherited from my dad. He bought it in 1952 and played it for a good 50 years.
Sorry folks I hi-jacked the thread. 🙁
Art MunsonKeymasterHi Glen,
Please e-mail me using the contact form and we will get it under the right listing.

Art MunsonKeymasterThanks playagibson I did get a the premium account, now slogging my way through it.
BTW what Gibson do you play? 🙂
Art MunsonKeymasterThanks for the kind words guys.
Thanks to many of you I’ve been inspired to start uploading to my Soundcloud account. Had it since 2009 and hadn’t done anything. Trying to figure out how to make best use of sets and groups.
Art MunsonKeymasterIn some cases the library’s contract will have a clause saying you have the rights to sign for your co-writer and are responsible if any problems arise. In other cases (looking at my recent Crucial contract) they want all writers to sign. To be safe you should have an agreement with your co-writer that gives you the right to sign for them.
BTW I am NOT a lawyer nor do I play one on TV. 🙂
Art MunsonKeymasterThanks Rob and TimV, much appreciated.
Art MunsonKeymasterArt, I upload WAV files, since the limitations are based on the length of music, not on file size. Somewhere in the help section they used to recommend leaving at least 3dB headroom to avoid problems some people had with sound quality. I checked recently and couldn’t find that, so maybe they’ve changed their trancoding process. However, I still do that just to be safe and I haven’t noticed any problems.
Art MunsonKeymasterNo problem Mark.
I’m really behind the curve on SC. Time to get on the ball with this. Once again I’ve been “schooled” by MLR!
BTW what do most of you upload? MP3, wav, aif, bit rate?
Art MunsonKeymasterYou can also create a set for that particular library and order the tracks in the set however you want. You can make it private and send them the link.
Art MunsonKeymasterAnythings possible and there will always be thieves but any serious user of production music wouldn’t last long. Any productions using that music would be ripe for lawsuits.
You didn’t leave much detail so it’s hard to respond to your situation.
Art MunsonKeymasterAlready mentioned here: https://musiclibraryreport.com/forums/topic/gema-pays-on-tunesat-detections/
Art MunsonKeymasterIf you decide to name names then they will have to be under their respective listings on MLR. Not in the open forum.
