    Hi Michael

Can you point me in the right direction. Which site has the best non live instrument music. I would like to familiarize myself with what sells.

JP does not seem to give access to there player to non clients.

Which one(s) would be the best to look at and study.

I have been going through them at random but I can’t seem to find the real high quality ones?

Also I was flipping through channels and I came across the Kadashians. The little bits of music sounded like real instruments to me. Especially the horns, I do have Broadway Big Band which sounds great but I would be amazed if that is what it was.

Do you happen to know what one of those 15 second spots pays?

    Thanks for all your help.

    Galen

Thank you for the quick response, Michael.

Are you from Canada? No I am not related to the Loblaws Weston’s!

I did take a number of years of off music to make money and build a base to make certain I could follow my passion full-time.

It took longer then I expected! I am now 40 and do have a business that has allowed me to just finish building the Rose Room Recording Studio in Toronto. It took me 2 years to complete.

    Here are some links

check out the gallery the site is not finished yet.

    and

    https://www.facebook.com/Roseroomrecording.

I have most of the libraries you have mentioned and linked too other then samplemodeling and orangetreesamples so I will check those out. Thnaks.

I love the spitfire BML / Albion stuff the best.

I was just not sure if some of the higher end libraries were still using samples it is hard to tell some times.

I am working on a feature mid budget documentary.

I am a Humber College and Berklee Alumni.

I am planning on writing full time and have been for a while but I have no experience with music libraries.

I have a lot of musicians available to me so I was just wondering if I spend $600 for a bass and drums to lay 10 tracks can get a return of investment. BFD is great I use it for the demos and I agree with you for many tracks but some times humanity breaths a lot of life into a track.

I am also wondering about hiring vocalist for pop music. I would prefer to do instrumental rock and cinematic music but that seems to be a saturated market.

To justify the expenses I have I need to find a way to make a lot of money. And it may not happen which is fine because I am not in it for the money. But I would love the validation!!

    Thanks

    Galen “Not that one” Weston
