  1. I’m in their library. It’s a “typical” non-exclusive/retitle arrangement… everything split down the middle (50/50 on licensing fees, they get publishing, composer gets writers royalties). I’ve had a series of smaller placements that I’ve been very happy with and one bigger placement where a track of my music was used for a while for CSI promos. Michael at the Music Kitchen is a very good guy to deal with and has the right connections… he’s been doing it for a long time.

    • Thanks Dave, I just reread the conditions on the site and didn’t realize that it was talking about any musicians used for the recordings. Standard procedure if you’re using musicians for hire, don’t know why I thought they were talking about the composer. My misunderstanding.

  2. I’m guessing they’re a buyout library since it states that you’re expected to sign a contract stating that they have permission to make placements without paying further residuals or royalties. They are very unclear on this, are they saying they want a signed contract just for submissions?? Or after acceptance?
