  1. Yes Art, very good interview. Thank YOU for the site!! You should write a book about all you have encountered. Man, you could probably get a whole book just from the John Lennon Rock n Roll sessions! I know I’d buy it!!

    • Hi kb, glad you enjoy the site. Yeah, I guess someday I’ll attempt a book. The Lennon sessions were quite an event. The sessions were so large (typical Spector) that there was not much interaction, plus John was pretty out of it (his “lost period”). Still it was a thrill to look over and see him sitting a chair or two away from me, surreal experience.

  2. Thanks to everyone for the kind words.

It’s been said that one has a complete cell change every seven years. It must be true in mind as well as body because when I look back at all that stuff it’s hard to even imagine that was actually me!

That being said I must say I enjoy making music now more than ever. Technology has allowed us all to reach out, create and connect as never before. MLR is one result of this technology and has helped me to make better music and make new friends all over the world. Too cool, many thanks to all of you!

Great interview Art. And very cool to hear a bit more about your career.
It should be an inspiration to all!

    Cheers,

      • Great interview Art. Vert inspiring and realistic. Seems like you and I work the same way. Every day for a few hours. It’s all about writing what you know, and what you like. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn’t….but I love it. I like you went through the Nashville thing, and got very frustrated with their way of writing, and what they want. Much happier working on my own. BTW I lived in CT from ’92 thru ’03. First in East Hartford for a couple of years then in Torrington. Litchfield County is beautiful. Thanks again for all you do for us.
        PS- I’m 58 and don’t think I’ll get to 1000 tracks either!

        • Torrington huh? That is very close. We almost moved back to Litchfield last October. Found a great house right off of the green. We agreed on a price and were a half hour away from pulling the trigger when my mom, sister and a couple of others started talking about all the Lyme disease. The night before I had found a tic on Robin and that killed that deal. In Nashville Robin was a magnet for every insect out there. She even got chiggers, yowee!

          Where are you now Gary?
