Art MunsonKeymasterThanks Edouardo and MichaelL for your advice. I have been copyrighting
music for bands and myself as a solo artist for 20 years.Which was always simple. But it is quite different,at least it seems to me, when you are doing it for music licensing purposes. I wanted to get a perspective from experienced people in the business such as the two of you. Wanted to avoid potential headaches in the future. Your insights are greatly appreciated.
Incidentally I am in the US and will proceed as suggested.
Thanks again,FranklinArt MunsonKeymaster@Michael Nickolas. I’m happy with my HR824 Mk2’s but think I liked the older ones better. I have a sub-woofer but found I don’t need it. And yes, a +1 on the Real Traps.
Art MunsonKeymasterSo I guess it installs like a plug in? If so, does it slow down loading performance of the site?
Yes, it is a plugin and there is no slowdown that I can detect.
Art MunsonKeymasterYou are not seeing cue sheets at BMI, just registrations. BMI does not make cue sheets available. Besides they are most likely not accurate (neither is ASCAP). The only way you will get the most accurate cue sheet is from the production company and they are also problematic. As soon as a human intervenes (2 to 3 times in the process of getting to the PROs) the errors creep in!
Art MunsonKeymasterIn the words of an old song, “I Second That Emotion”!
Happy Holidays to all!
Art MunsonKeymasterThanks SongLoft. That’s great info and I will check out AKG K712. So much easier to ask here instead of wading through all of the dialog on Gearslutz!
BTW it’s okay to list that headphone company that allows you to preview headphones. Great idea.
Thanks again and Happy Holidays!
Art MunsonKeymasterThanks for the opinions so far everyone.
The consensus on Gearslutz is that open backed is the best for trying to mix on headphones. That’s the way I’m leaning as bleed isn’t a problem here. Not good for tracking though.

December 21, 2013 at 3:16 pm in reply to: Input on Promos and Station Identifiers on NICK TEEN #14110Art MunsonKeymasterThat’s one of the reasons why most folks (that rely on TV placements) switch to BMI. 😉
Art MunsonKeymaster@ More Advice. You moved the thread off topic. All those comments have been deleted.
PLEASE keep the threads on topic! Geez!
Art MunsonKeymasterCan we keep the tone civil and respectful?
Amen Advice!
Art MunsonKeymasterI don’t have it, but speaking of Daniel James, his Project Alpha should be on that list. http://hybridtwo.com/newsite/project-alpha/
Just picked it up thanks to danleigh and Mark for that. Daniel James has a 2 hour video on it.
